Why these natural ingredients?

Omega-3 Fish Oils
Supportive, but not conclusive, research shows that consumption of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. Orthomega fish oils also meet the strictest international trade criteria for trace heavy metals such as mercury, as well as pesticide concentrations such as PCBs and dioxins. Studies show that Omega-3 fatty acids from fish are efficacious agents to reduce cardiovascular and overall mortality.

Plant Sterols
Foods containing at least 0.65 g per serving of plant sterol esters, taken twice daily with meals for a daily total intake of at least 1.3 g, as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease. The National Cholesterol Education Program (NCEP) of the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of Health suggests the use of plant sterols in conjunction with other lifestyle changes to support LDL cholesterol reduction.

Pantethine
Pantethine is the precursor to cysteamine and pantothenic acid. Pantethine supports normal platelet function, endothelial responsiveness, and has overall lantioxidant benefits.Two packets of Triplichol provide 900 mg of pantethine, the recommended daily dose in clinical studies.
